We are delighted to announce that we will be at this summer’s Festival of the North East to present in association with Alwnick Playhouse an in-development excerpt of WALL, an immersive adventure inspired by Roman Vindolanda and Hadrian’s Wall.
Showings will take place on Saturday 29th June at 13:30 and 15:30. Tickets are priced at £5 and can be booked through the Alnwick Playhouse website. Please note that this will be a promenade performance that takes place on and around Hadrian’s Wall so please dress accordingly and keep an eye on the Alnwick Playhouse website for meeting point details, which will be published soon.
You will be invited into a modern world dominated by the Roman Empire where the Britons are a second-class race in their own occupied country. A General has been brutally murdered at a military outpost and a native woman stands accused. With a high-profile court hearing fast approaching and the odds stacked against the defendant it is your task to unearth the evidence to save her from execution.
This is an open-world game experience, which means you can move through the environment freely, exposing unique angles on the story and unlocking bespoke activities. Ultimately, the outcome of the case will swing on your investigation.
Can you find justice in an unjust world?
Festival of the North East is a celebration of innovation and creativity that will herald the return to the region of the Lindisfarne Gospels. Events will take place throughout June 2013. More information on the festival can be found here.
Festival of the North East have selected five seed commissions of £2,000 to stimulate new theatre and performance work as part of the Festival in June 2013 and artists and companies were asked to respond with a theatre or performance piece that responds to the idea of ‘place’.
